India, April 7 -- The Indian National Congress has announced all the names of its candidates for the 2026 West Bengal assembly elections, scheduled to take place in two phases -- April 23 and April 29. The counting of votes for the polls to the 294-member Assembly is set for May 4.
The party has decided to contest the 2026 elections independently, without forming an alliance with other blocs like the Left Front. Prominent leaders in the list include former state unit chief Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, contesting from Baharampur, and Mausam Noor contesting from Malatipur.
