Bengaluru, Jan. 6 -- The Karnataka revenue department on January 2 suspended four sub-registrars for allegedly aiding in the illegal registration of private land, including a plot allegedly sold by Infosys to a private real estate firm, in the Kaveri property registration software without valid court orders to that effect, officials in the know said on Monday. A departmental inquiry found irregularities in land registrations in five sub-registrar offices - in Sarjapur, Banaswadi, Varthur and Halasuru - all in Bengaluru Urban district.
