India, June 29 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Seychelles delivered far more than ceremonial optics and diplomatic symbolism, resulting in a major expansion of defence cooperation, capacity building and emerging technology partnerships between the two countries.

Among the most significant outcomes was India's decision to once again depute four Military Advisers to Seychelles, reviving an arrangement that had been discontinued by the previous government in the island nation.
