Panchkula, March 27 -- A fire broke out at a food shop in Sector 20, Panchkula, around 3 pm on Thursday.

The blaze destroyed the food inventory and wooden furniture inside the shop. Two fire tenders rushed to the spot and the fire was brought under control within an hour.

A fire station officer from Sector 20 stated that the exact cause of the fire had yet to be ascertained. According to initial information, the shop served fast food and other food items. No injuries were reported.
