FDA suspends licences of 12 food establishments in Pune, Sangli; seizes rRs.r41.36 lakh stock
India, Aug. 12 -- The Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Pune division, has suspended the licences and registrations of 12 hotels, restaurants and bakeries in Pune and Sangli districts for allegedly violating food safety and hygiene norms, officials said on Tuesday.
Officials conducted inspections between August 1 and 9 as part of the FDA's "Safe Food, Safe Drug, Safe Maharashtra" campaign.
Of the 12 establishments, six are from Pune and six from Sangli. The Pune establishments include The Lotus Resort in Lonavla, Muscle Foodz in Bibwewadi, Huma Bakery in Ganesh Nagar (Pimpri-Chinchwad), New Maharashtra Bakers in Ambegaon Budruk, Marrakesh Ventures Private Limited in Sahakar Nagar and Swinsta Ent Private Limited in Karve Nagar.
