India, May 24 -- The father of a 16-year-old girl was arrested on Saturday for his alleged involvement in the murder of a 21-year-old man from Rajasthan who was allegedly beaten to death in Faridabad, while several other family members remained absconding, police said. Autopsy findings revealed the victim suffered multiple fractures and severe internal injuries. The attack was allegedly over his eloping with the minor girl.

The victim, a state-level badminton player from Saidpur in Rajasthan's Bhiwadi, had reached Faridabad on May 17 to join an investigation related to the case before he went missing.
