PRAYAGRAJ, Sept. 21 -- Ali Ahmed, son of slain gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed, was produced before an ADJ court in Prayagraj on Monday in connection with a three-year-old extortion case involving an alleged demand for Rs.30 lakh.

Ali was brought from Jhansi jail under heavy security and remained in court for nearly two hours, during which his statement was recorded. Asad Kalia, who is currently lodged in Kasganj jail and is also linked to the case, was produced before the court and recorded his statement.
