AGRA, Aug. 11 -- A special Pocso court in Etah on Monday sentenced a man accused of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old boy to 20 years' imprisonment.

The order was passed in the 'State versus Pushpendra alias Bhola' case pertaining to an incident reported in the jurisdiction of Raja Ka Rampur police station in Etah on June 19, 2024.

Following the incident, an FIR was registered against Pushpendra alias Bhola, 28, under sections 377, 504 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), sections 3/4 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (Pocso) Act and the SC/ST Act. The accused allegedly took the 12-year-old boy from his school to a farm and sexually assaulted him before threatening him not to disclose the incident.
