India, Sept. 30 -- The Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) on Tuesday told the Bombay High Court that inpatient services at its Model Hospital in Andheri had resumed with 50 operational beds, nearly eight years after the facility was shut following a major fire.

The ESIC Model Hospital in Andheri provides medical treatment to insured workers and their dependants under the Employees' State Insurance scheme, including specialised and inpatient care.

However, the petitioner disputed the claim, telling the court that only 25 beds each for men and women were currently available and that the hospital lacked basic medical infrastructure, including operation theatres, labour rooms and essential equipment.
