India, Aug. 6 -- A shocking video shows the moment a house exploded in Energy, Illinois, Tuesday night, August 4, killing one person. The blast in southern Illinois happened just after 7 pm, causing damage to the neighborhood surrounding the home at the corner of West College and McGinnis streets, ABC7 reported.

The identity of the person who died in the explosion has not been revealed.

Residents heard a loud boom and felt shaking throughout most of Carterville and Herrin Tuesday evening. People quickly took to social media, looking for details about what the cause may have been.
