India, April 2 -- After nearly a decade at a small IT services company, an employee has been let go as the firm shifts its direction.
In a Reddit post, the employee opened up about the experience, sharing details of the long tenure that began as the second person in the company and grew to include multiple roles, from business development and lead generation to client management, marketing, delivery, and operations.
"Laid off after 9 years for the only company I've ever worked for, feeling lost," the caption of the post reads.
According to the post, this was the first and only company the employee had ever worked for.
The employee shared that a two-month notice period was recently issued by the company's CEO.
