India, March 17 -- Maharashtra deputy chief minister and Shiv Sena head Eknath Shinde met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Tuesday and conveyed his party's support amid the challenges faced by India due to the ongoing war in the Gulf region, while also discussing development-related issues concerning the state.

Speaking to the media after the meeting, Shinde said the Shiv Sena, as an ally of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), stands firmly with the Prime Minister and the nation during this critical time.
