JAMSHEDPUR, Aug. 24 -- The Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College Hospital (MGMMCH) management served show cause notices to eight doctors following the death of two persons within 48 hours between Thursday night and Friday evening at the hospital, officials said on Sunday.

"Two doctors from the paediatric department and six doctors from the surgery department have been show-caused in the wake of the death of a 12-year-old boy and a 42-year-old man on Thursday night and Friday evening. The action came after an emergency meeting of the management headed by MGMMCH principal Dr Sanjay Kumar and superintendent Dr Balram Jha.
