EC may issue smaller supplementary lists amid tight deadline
India, April 17 -- The Election Commission of India (ECI) is set to issue a fresh supplementary electoral roll for West Bengal following a Supreme Court directive, restoring voters deleted during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process who have since secured favourable orders from Appellate Tribunals. The move comes after the final voter list was already published following 34 supplementary lists, requiring the new additions to be incorporated and distributed across more than 80,000 polling booths ahead of voting.
