India, Jan. 6 -- An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 6.3 struck Japan's Shimane prefecture on Tuesday. The quake registered an intensity of upper-5 on Japan's 1-7 seismic scale in the prefecture, local broadcaster NHK reported.
