Dyson's new air purifiers look like jet engines. There's a good reason why
India, Oct. 7 -- There is something slightly strange about hearing a Dyson engineering director talk about moving on from the Air Multiplier.
For years, that futuristic-looking loop has been as Dyson as the purple-ish colour palette, powerful motors and products that occasionally look like they belong in a sci-fi movie than your living room.
But Matt Jennings, Dyson Engineering Director for Home, thinks it is time for something better.
"One of my favourite things about working at Dyson is we're always asking ourselves if there's a better way," Jennings tells me.
That better way is called HushJet.
And yes, it looks a little bit like an aircraft engine.
