India, Sept. 29 -- A Chinese doctor has left her promising medical career to take up part-time work as a delivery driver and pub singer. Liu Zihan, 31, said that taking up odd jobs allows her to live her life without stress while paying her living expenses.

A South China Morning Post report described Liu as a doctoral graduate in medicine who left her hospital job to embrace a "less meritocratic" lifestyle.

She was raised in Hebei, a northern Chinese province known for its highly competitive education system, and spent a year at Hengshui High School, an institution noted for its rigorous, military-style approach to schooling.
