India, April 2 -- In a bid to earn easy money to enjoy a lavish lifestyle, a 21-year-old man from Delhi allegedly planned and executed an armed robbery against his father to steal Rs.10 lakh.

The accused, Tavleen alias Rehat, son of the victim, orchestrated the robbery with his two associates, Mohit Kumar Tiwari and Pankaj, both aged 22. An official reportedly said that all three men have been arrested.

The complainant was on a two-wheeler in east Delhi's Laxmi Nagar area when he was ambushed by Tavleen and Mohit, riding a scooty and wearing masks, news agency PTI reported.

Mohit, who sat behind Tavleen on the scooty, fired two shots in the air to scare the victim.
