Delhi house collapses due to LPG blast days after Saket tragedy; 5 injured
India, June 2 -- At least five people were injured when a suspected LPG cylinder explosion triggered the collapse of a single-storey house in north Delhi's Mukundpur on Tuesday morning, officials said, and added a search and rescue operation is underway.
The Delhi Fire Services (DFS) said the house collapse was reported at 9:37am from Gali No 1 in Ishu Vihar, Mukundpur-II. It added that multiple rescue units, including a quick-response vehicle and an incident-response team, rushed to the spot.
Fire officials at the site reported that a suspected LPG cylinder blast caused the collapse, bringing down the single-storey structure built over approximately 250 square yards.
