Delhi govt approves rRs.r473 crore project to upgrade 90,000 streetlights with smart LEDs
India, May 21 -- Delhi government's expenditure finance committee (EFC) on Wednesday approved the project for upgradation of 90,000 streetlights into smart LED lights under a Rs.473 crore project, paving the way for the overhaul of the streetlight network along the arterial roads of the Capital.
The decision was taken during a hybrid meeting of the EFC, chaired by chief minister Rekha Gupta. The project will be implemented in phases on 1400km of roads maintained by the Public Works Department (PWD).
