Delhi formulates strategy to distribute commercial LPG
New Delhi, March 15 -- The Delhi government on Saturday formulated a policy to regulate the distribution of commercial LPG cylinders, allowing up to 20% of the average daily commercial consumption, priority wise, given the constraints due to the disruption in the supply chain. Under the priority system, educational institutions, hospitals, railways and airports have been placed in the first category and will receive 100% of their requirement, accounting for around 200 cylinders per day.
The department of food, supplies and consumer affairs said the measure has been taken in compliance with directions from the Union government and in coordination with oil marketing companies.
