India, Aug. 20 -- Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta was allegedly attacked during her weekly Jan Sunwai programme at her official residence in Civil Lines on Wednesday morning.
According to officials, the incident occurred while the chief minister was interacting with citizens and hearing their grievances.
Party president Virendra Sachdeva said Gupta was interacting with the public when a man approached her, handed over some papers and then suddenly held her hand while trying to pull her. "During this, there was a little jostling and maybe her head touched a corner a little. People nabbed him," he said, adding that further details are being investigated by police.
