Delhi braces for more rain as IMD issues 'yellow' alert for thunderstorms
India, June 5 -- Delhi is likely to receive further rainfall on Friday, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issuing a yellow alert and forecasting generally cloudy skies, thunderstorms and strong winds across the city. The rain is expected to bring down temperatures significantly after the city recorded a maximum temperature of 40.5degC on Thursday.
According to the IMD, the city's maximum temperature on Friday is expected to remain between 35degC and 37degC, while the minimum temperature dropped by nearly 4degC from Thursday's 29.7degC to 26degC.
