Delhi: Man killed after wall collapses during sewage pipeline work in Lodhi Colony
India, June 5 -- A 55-year-old man died while two others were injured after a boundary wall collapsed during a sewer pipeline work in south Delhi's Lodhi Colony in the early hours of Friday, officials said.
According to the Delhi Fire Services (DFS), a call regarding a wall collapse was received at 1:18am from an area near Lodhi Hotel in Lodhi Colony.
Fire officials rushed one water tender, one water bowser and an intensive rescue tender to the spot.
Officials said the incident occurred when a boundary wall gave way during ongoing sewage pipeline work, trapping three workers under the debris.
