India, Aug. 24 -- Actor Deepika Padukone is not attached to star in Brahmastra 2, contrary to what the rumours are. The actor's team has shared a statement to dismiss the speculation on her casting through her official spokesperson.

The official spokesperson of Deepika states: "All recent reports of Deepika Padukone being a part of Brahmastra 2 or associated with the project in any capacity are untrue."

Brahmastra starred Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. The movie marked the beginning of a big-budget fantasy adventure franchise. Brahmastra follows a Shiva (Ranbir), who sets out on a journey to find the origins of his special powers with Isha (Alia), a woman he falls in love with at first sight.
