Srinagar, Sept. 12 -- Union railways minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Thursday announced a daily time-tabled parcel train to transport apples from Kashmir to Jammu and Delhi, bringing relief to apple growers in the Valley following the closure of National Highway 44 due to the recent floods in J&K. "Railways is introducing a daily time-tabled parcel train from Badgam in Kashmir Valley to Adarsh Nagar station in Delhi starting 13th September 2025," Vaishnaw said in a post on X. "Loading of 2 parcel vans carrying apples from Badgam to Delhi is beginning today."
