New Delhi, April 21 -- Chief Justice of India Surya Kant on Monday said that the assessment on bail jurisprudence cannot remain confined to the facts on an individual complaint when an accused is alleged to be part of an organised cyber fraud network, often spanning multiple jurisdictions and involving numerous victims, while asking the courts to consider the scale of criminal activity. Asserting that the cybercrimes must be recognised as a systemic threat that requires an equally systemic and anticipatory response, the CJI recommended "briefly" pausing the transfer of funds to foreign accounts to allow verification of the account holder in such cases.
