Cyber fraud: 2 arrested in Delhi for duping Chandigarh man of rRs.r85,000
Chandigarh, Aug. 23 -- Two alleged cybercriminals involved in an Rs.85,000 fraud case were arrested from Delhi, cybercrime police said on Saturday. They have been identified as Manohar (30) and Ankit Gupta (20).
The FIR was registered at the cybercrime police station on May 8 after a Chandigarh resident reported that Rs.85,000 had been fraudulently debited from his ICICI Bank account linked to UPI. During the investigation, it was found that a fraudster had sent an APK file to the complainant's mobile phone. Once the victim installed it, the mobile phone was compromised.
