India, Oct. 19 -- Assam Police plans to approach the Supreme Court against the bail granted by the Gauhati High Court to two accused in connection with the death of singer Zubeen Garg, a senior police official said on Sunday. Two of the accused in the case, singer Amritprava Mahanta and suspended Assam Police officer Sandipan Garg, a cousin of the late singer, were granted bail earlier this month. "We have studied the [high court] orders, and after analysing those and taking legal opinion, we have decided to move the honourable Supreme Court against the bail orders," Assam Police special director general (CID) and Special Investigation Team (SIT) chief Munna Prasad Gupta said. htc
