cops barge into CPI(m) office to arrest sfi leader
New Delhi, July 29 -- A Delhi Police team entered the Communist Party of India (Marxist's) headquarters in Delhi on Tuesday to arrest student leader Aishe Ghosh, leading to a confrontation between the police personnel and the communists.
According to police, a non-bailable warrant was issued against Ghosh in a 2021 protest case and the next court date is July 30 so the team had gone to execute the order. The protest was outside Bangalore Bhawan.
CPI(M) MP John Brittas and others confronted the policemen. He said the police showed blatant disregard for norms as they entered the office of a political party.
