Amritsar, April 3 -- Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Singh Badal on Thursday flayed Punjab Congress chief Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, accusing him of indulging in "cheap theatrics" on the sensitive issue of sacrilege. He questioned why the Congress government never caught the sacrilege perpetrators during its 2017-2022 regime in the state.
Sukhbir's comments came after Warring raised the sacrilege issue in Parliament. Addressing a rally at Baba Bakala as part of the party's "Punjab Bachao" campaign along with party's halka in-charge Baljit Singh Jalalusma, the SAD president said, "Why Warring never raised his voice against the sacrilege committed by the then Congress PM Indira Gandhi in 1984?"
