New Delhi, Sept. 25 -- The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has directed owners and occupiers of high-rise buildings under its jurisdiction to undertake structural safety audits, in compliance with directions of the Delhi HC and the National Capital Region Planning Board. The move comes weeks after a five-storey building collapsed in Satya Niketan, killing at least seven people. The DDA said audits are mandatory for 15 metres or higher buildings. It added that non-compliance will lead to legal action. htc
