New Delhi, June 8 -- The Delhi Government will organise the Yamuna Riverfront Cleanliness Campaign 2026 on June 14, with Chief Minister Rekha Gupta participating in the drive aimed at restoring the Yamuna's glory, cleaning its riverbanks and raising environmental awareness, officials said on Sunday. Cleanliness drives and awareness activities will be held simultaneously at major Yamuna ghats, with nearly 500 social, religious, educational and voluntary organisations and thousands of volunteers expected to participate. "Yamuna is not merely a river but an integral part of Delhi's cultural, religious and environmental heritage. The responsibility of protecting it rests not only with the government but also with citizens," she said. HTC
