India, March 24 -- Delhi chief minister Rekha Gupta on Tuesday presented a Rs.1,03,700 crore budget for 2026-27, with a focus on infrastructure, health, education, green initiatives, and social welfare.

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi received its highest-ever allocation of Rs.11,666 crore. The Public Works Department (PWD) was allotted Rs.5,921 crore, and the urban development sector Rs.7,887 crore.

Gupta announced Rs.800 crore for unauthorised colonies, Rs.787 crore for the Delhi Village Development Board, and Rs.300 crore for the Trans Yamuna Area Development Board.

The government earmarked Rs.392 crore to carpet 750 km of roads, out of a total 1,400 km network. The development department was allocated Rs.960 crore. Rs.380 crore ...
