CJP volunteer father dies, son blames Bengal BJP workers; 3 held, says Adhikari
Kolkata, Aug. 16 -- The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) on Sunday alleged that the father of one of its activists from the Indus area of West Bengal's Bakura district died on Saturday at Burdwan Medical College and Hospital after being assaulted by local Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers.
Sk Muhammad Mafik, the deceased, and his son, CJP volunteer Shaik Abdul Hafeez (25), were allegedly assaulted on Thursday after Hafeez raised concerns about a primary school at Karisunda in the Indus community development block as part of the CJP's nationwide 'School Thik Karo' campaign that aimed at improving government schools.
CJP founder and national convener Abhijeet Dipke demanded the arrest of the accused persons on Sunday afternoon.
