CJP PLANS NEW MARCH
New Delhi, Aug. 25 -- The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) on Monday announced a peaceful protest march in Delhi on September 5 from India Gate to the Delhi police headquarters, alleging that the Centre failed to honour commitments made to young protesters when the stir at Jantar Mantar was called off last month.
Among the prominent issues the CJP will raise are assurances given on July 25 on the withdrawal of first information reports registered against protesters. Despite notifications given by the home departments of at least four states - including Delhi - that no action would be taken against protesters in those FIRs, they have not yet been withdrawn.
