Cincinnati: Tornado sirens ring out amid fresh flash flood warnings; CVG Airport shut- videos
India, Aug. 12 -- Tornado sirens rang out in Cincinnati and other parts of Hamilton County on Monday as a tornado-warned storm moved through the area. Simultaneously, the NWS also issued a flash flood warning for Cincinnati.
Parts of Boone County, Kentucky, bordering Cincinnati were also placed under a warning. The CVG airport, located in Boone County, Kentucky, was placed under a shelter-in-place as a dangerous, tornado-warned storm moved through the area.
Local NBC affiliate WLWT shared photos of stranded passengers at the airport amid the storms. Though in Kentucky, the airport serves as the primary airport for Cincinnati.
