Chandigarh, Aug. 23 -- Organisers planning concerts and large-scale events at the upcoming Sarangpur facility will no longer have to approach multiple departments separately for permissions. The Chandigarh administration is preparing an online application system that will allow organisers to seek approvals through a single-window platform.

Under the proposed mechanism, applicants will submit details of their event, venue requirements, expected footfall, safety arrangements and other mandatory documents online. The application will then be processed by the concerned departments through an integrated system instead of organisers individually obtaining multiple no-objection certificates (NOCs).
