India, June 1 -- Thousands of CBSE Class 12 students waiting to apply for verification of marks and re-evaluation were left frustrated on Monday after the board's Post-Result Activities portal failed to become operational as scheduled.

Students attempting to access the portal on June 1 were greeted with a message stating: "Site is under updation and will be available soon," even though the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) had earlier announced that the portal would open on June 1 after postponing its original launch date of May 29.

The delay comes amid continuing scrutiny of CBSE's On-Screen Marking (OSM) system, which was used extensively for the evaluation of Class 12 answer sheets this year. The board had earlier said it w...
