Can carrying a heavy backpack result in a blood clot in the arm? Physician Dr Kunal Sood explains
India, Sept. 11 -- A blood clot is a semisolid mass of blood cells and other substances that forms in blood vessels, primarily to prevent continuous bleeding in the event of an injury. However, in some cases, blood clots can result in disrupting the normal flow of blood, which can lead to life-threatening situations.
Taking to Instagram on September 10, Dr Kunal Sood, a Maryland-based physician in Anesthesiology and Interventional Pain Medicine, explained that something as everyday as carrying a very heavy bag on your shoulder can result in a blood clot in the shoulder.
