C'garh Man held for poisoning 8 people to death
Raipur, June 24 -- A 46-year-old man was arrested in Baloda Bazar-Bhatapara district in Chhattisgarh for allegedly poisoning eight villagers to death over personal grudges by mixing a chemical substance into liquor and serving it to them over a four-month period, police said on Tuesday.
The accused, identified as Ramsahay Jaiswal, a resident of Purana Kharve village under Kasdol police station limits, allegedly used "suhaga" (sodium tetraborate) to target acquaintances with whom he had old disputes related to finance, election, alleged witchcraft and personal suspicion, police said.
