Srinagar, Aug. 15 -- Jammu and Kashmir lieutenant governor Manoj Sinha on Friday urged the youth of the Union Territory to learn from the painful memories of Partition, reject enmity and communal bitterness, and ensure that the mistakes of the past are never repeated.

Sinha attended the solemn observance of 'Partition Horrors Remembrance Day' at Tagore Hall, Srinagar. The event was marked remembrance and a reaffirmation of national unity. The LG paid tribute to all those citizens who endured unimaginable suffering during the partition of 1947 and whose sacrifices continue to inspire generations.
