AMRITSAR, March 23 -- A Border Security Force (BSF) jawan arrested from Jammu had died during questioning by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in Amritsar, police said on Sunday, with human rights activists alleging custodial torture and demanding a judicial probe into the matter. The NCB had arrested Jaswinder Singh from his Jammu residence on March 3 in connection with a drug smuggling case. "According to NCB, his health suddenly deteriorated during the interrogation, leading to his death," said Jagjit Singh, SHO, Maqboolpura Police Station.
