New Delhi, May 3 -- A four-year-old boy died, and his five-year-old brother was injured in a fire that broke out in a room on the second floor of a building near Kardam Dharamshala in northeast Delhi's Gokalpuri on Saturday evening, police said. DCP (northeast) Ashish Mishra said a fire alert was received and police found that two children were alone in the room while their parents were out for work. "Around 3:15 pm, the children's grandmother, who lives in a separate room, noticed smoke coming out from the room and found both children injured. They were rushed to GTB hospital, where one was declared brought dead," the DCP said. A forensic team inspected the scene, and the cause of the fire was yet to be ascertained.
