Ludhiana, Sept. 12 -- A 52-year-old construction labourer was found murdered in fields near Khanpur village on Friday, bearing multiple head injuries allegedly inflicted with a sharp-edged weapon, police said on Saturday.

The deceased was identified as Ruldu Singh, a resident of Seelon village in the Dehlon area. Some residents of Seelon who had gone towards Khanpur to graze their cattle spotted his body in the fields and informed his family. His mobile phone was found lying near the body.
