Mohali, April 3 -- A man was shot in the arm after a brawl during a birthday celebration turned violent near the old Kabaddi ground in Bhagomajra village on Wednesday.

The victim, Rishav Phogat, was hospitalised following the attack.

Acting swiftly, a police team led by inspector Simarjit Singh, SHO of Sohana police station, arrested four accused, including Ritinder Singh, Savage Khan, Jobanpreet Singh and Hardik Adlakha. Police also recovered a Maruti Suzuki Swift car allegedly used in the crime.

The complainant, Anuj Sharma, an associate of the victim, told police that a scuffle occurred during the birthday party of Ritinder's friend Harjot at a flat at a residential complex in Mohali's Sector 115 around four days ago.
