India, Aug. 14 -- There was a huge police presence at the parking lot of the UAB St Vincent Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama on Tuesday amid reports of a shooting. A video showed several Birmingham Police vehicles at the hospital with a crime scene at the parking lot.

Social media reports state that there was an active shooter, and shots were fired, but no details have been released officially. UAB St. Vincent sent out an alert to the community in which they stated that it was an officer involved shooting.

"Officer-involved shooting reported outside UAB St. Vincent's Birmingham. Scene secure; avoid the North Tower area and Level A of the parking deck," the alert read.
