New Delhi, Sept. 3 -- A bill proposing to introduce a points-based system for drivers that could even lead to cancellation of licence for consistent bad driving is being readied to be presented before Parliament, Union road transport and highways minister Nitin Gadkari said on Wednesday. Under the proposed system, points will be deducted in a graded manner based on the seriousness of traffic violations, with licences liable to suspension or cancellation after a specified limit.
