Patna, July 28 -- The Bihar government on Monday said it will withdraw all cases registered against protesters and release those arrested during a statewide crackdown on demonstrators who took part in the agitation called by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP).
In a statement, the state government said it will not take any legal action against people who participated in protests before 6pm on July 26. "No adverse legal action... shall be taken by the Government against any individual participating in the protests before 6 PM on July 26, across the entire state," a notification issued by the state home department said.
