Bhujbal turns down NCP's RS seat offer
India, June 8 -- NCP minister Chhagan Bhujbal has declined the party leadership's offer to nominate him for the by-election to the Rajya Sabha seat vacated by Maharashtra deputy chief minister Sunetra Pawar after her recent election to the state assembly from Baramati. Speaking to HT, Bhujbal said he turned down the offer after the party leadership rejected his proposal to induct his nephew Sameer Bhujbal into the state cabinet. Chhagan Bhujbal's move to Delhi would have paved the way for Sameer Bhujbal to contest the assembly bypoll from Nashik's Yeola constituency, which the former has represented since 2004.
